I resolve to resolve fewer things ~ I think

Howdy, Y'all. Happpppppppppppppppppppppy New Year.

During my treatment in 2013, I kept a list of all the things I wanted to do in 2014. I couldn't wait for January 1, 2014. It was a great year! I couldn't have even imagined it any better. I tried to highlight as many of those moments as I could on my blog.

I am grateful to have an opportunity to keep dreaming for a year filled with excitement. I am LeApInG from 2014 into 2015 with loads of excitement, faith, and expectation.

Each year, I have a list of new year's resolutions. I I was actually pleasantly surprised with what I accomplished in 2014. Sheer determination at times & other times it was the pull and support of others that kept me going. I completed many things in 2014, and I didn't officially make a list of "New Year's Resolutions". Much of what I accomplished in 2014 was birthed from my strong desire to be up and moving. I dreamed BIG when I sat in that chemo chair for 16 treatments. With pen and journal in hand, I wrote about what I'd do when I had the strength and energy to do it. Writing is powerful.

If I had saved my resolutions each year for the past 20 years (outside of 2014), I imagine nothing on the paper changed except my handwriting. ruly, my goals didn't waver much year-to-year. They went something like this ~~~~

(1) Lose Weight

(2) Read the Bible daily

(3) Save more

You get the picture .... much like the "Ultimate List" shown above. Familiar to you? I bet so. Instead of 'that' list, I decided this year to spend time focusing on discipline, commitment, and faith. For whatever reason, I believe, if I can get hold of those principles that I'll have some measurement of success with 1, 2, and 3 above (wink..wink).

In my sight this year are ~ sprint and super sprint triathlons, 5Ks, singles & doubles tennis, hiking, skating

Yes, that's it! I simply want to Keep It Moving (By God's grace & mercy).

Where I need to really concentrate and make greater strides is my nutrition. This is where commitment and discipline will be necessary & prayerfully the means by which I get to the end goal .

Whether you have a resolution, several resolutions, a list or not, or just a thought - here's to 2015!! Let's PINKY Tri!!

Be well, CC

P.S. Maybe I will check off a few from the list above :-D
