2016 Atlanta Falcons Dazzle & Dine

Dazzle & Dine Recipients and Atlanta Falcons Players

OH What a Night! Oh What a day!

I have always believed that God guides my footsteps. His favor is amazing! He is the author of mighty comebacks and great finishes.

The Friday before the Atlanta 2 day I received a phone call from Maddy, with the Atlanta Falcons, that I would be honored as recipient of the 2016 Dazzle and Dine award.

Whoot! Whoot! What a way to start off the Atlanta 2 day weekend!

Dazzle and Dine, presented by Northside Hospital, honors women currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer as well as breast cancer survivors for their continued effort in fighting against breast cancer. Honorees are chosen based upon their community involvement and dedication to helping this cause. Honorees will be recognized pre-game at an Atlanta Falcons home game and receive a special day of pampering.

The fun began Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the home game between Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers. There's something about exclusive access that makes you feel oh so special. When we arrived at the game Sunday, we entered the stadium on the level where the players arrive. We were given our media passes & immediately that pass made me feel 10 feet tall :-).

I met some incredibly awesome women. Meetings new pink sisters and survivors is always great. I am inspired and motivated by the stories of triumphant. Again, I never believe I meet anyone by happen chance. We had a good time getting to know one another. We had breakfast, brunch, and lunch with one another & spent plenty time laughing.

We were a part of on-field activities during pre-grame and half time. It's funny how a different perspective and vantage points makes everything look so different.

Our on field activities included:

Holding a huge breast cancer ribbon on the 50 yard line

Standing along the sidelines during pre-game warm-ups

Being escorted by a Falcons Alum onto the field during half-time (and oh yeah -- that Jumbotron was awesomeNess)

The Falcons lost a close game in OT. It was a tough loss. Otherwise, it was an absolutely awesome day!!!!

But, our fun didn't end with Sunday's game.

Tuesday, 10/25

We were dropped off the Jamison Shaw Hairdressers where we were truly waited on hand & foot and pampered. Our nails, hair, and make-up were done. We were treated to pink champagne. We were encouraged to not lift a finger. It was so much fun. The owner, Candy, was so very generous and knew her stuff when it came to hair and all things girlY! :-)

We had more time to get to know one another. It seemed every time we spoke - we smiled. We laughed. We were, indeed, having the time of our lives. #makingmemories

A limo arrived to pick us up and take us to the restaurant, Katana. The pink carpet was rolled out for us. Falcons players, friends, and family awaited our arrival as each of us was announced and entered the building. My escort for the night was Matt Bryant, the kicker with the Atlanta Braves for 8 years. (side note: Bryant is three points shy of the franchise record for points. He can top that mark Sunday against Green Bay). I met his wife and mother. We were treated to tricks on the Hibachi grill.

We were given nice swag bags, included two footballs -- one with our names and 2016 Dazzle and Dine recipient printed & the other for autographs. We were truly made to feel so incredibly special. I am thankful to all the sponsors, players, staff, and all who contributed to this event.

It will be a day/night that none of us will ever forget!

Go Falcons!!!!
